Since joining Sewell Sewell Beard, LLC in 2016, Alana Beard has represented a wide variety of publicly traded and closely-held business entities, non-profits, pension plans, elected officials, governmental entities, contractors, and individuals in both routine and complex litigation. Mrs. Beard’s practice includes condemnation and eminent domain, real estate, corporate compliance and governance, municipal compliance and governance, state and federal constitutional law and contract disputes. Experienced in both trial and appellate practice, Mrs. Beard enjoys being in the courtroom and has tried—and defended—numerous successful bench and jury trials. Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Beard represented the State of Alabama as an assistant district attorney and was primarily responsible for the prosecution of cases involving physical and sexual abuse of children.
